This warranty covers all factory fitted mechanical and electrical parts (including labour to fit them) of the covered vehicle.

Your approved used warranty covers against mechanical breakdown (unless specifically excluded below). Mechanical breakdown is the failure of a component, causing a sudden stoppage of its function.

What is covered:

Vehicles of any build over 8 years old OR up to 75k miles. Warranty period 3 months from date of purchase. Coleman Milne cover the following mechanical and electrical listed parts and labour. Any parts not listed are NOT covered. Authorisation to be obtained before any work is carried out on vehicle including vehicle recovery costs.

*Exhaust system including catalytic converter and vehicle battery are only covered for one month from date of purchase.

  • Oil seals
  • Crankshaft front seal, camshaft oil seal, auxiliary shaft oil seal, gearbox rear seal, driveshaft[s] seals, differential pinion seal and any oil seal or gasket where removal of the engine, gearbox, or differential/drive unit is essential in order to effect repair.
  • Working materials
  • Oils, oil filter and anti-freeze are covered ONLY if it is essential to replace them because of the failure of a part, which is covered under this warranty.
  • Camshaft timing belts and tensioners
  • Also includes damage to any other covered parts, providing the camshaft belt and tensioner have both been changed in line with the manufacturer service requirements.
  • Turbocharger and wastegate
  • All internal component parts.
  • Gearbox and transmission
  • All internal moving parts of: Manual gearbox, automatic gearbox, semi-automatic gearbox, transfer gearbox, (but excluding Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
  • Drivetrain
  • Drive shafts, prop-shafts, centre bearings, constant velocity joints, universal joints and couplings.
  • Front, centre and rear differential
  • Crown wheel and pinion, and all other internal moving parts.
  • Braking system
  • Master cylinder, wheel cylinder seals, caliper seals.
  • Cooling system
  • Water pump
  • Electrical system
  • Starter motor and alternator
  • Casings
  • If any covered part suffers a breakdown and damages its casing then the casing will be covered

What is NOT covered.

Bodywork, body seals (including boot, sunroof, roof, doors etc.) fixing and fastenings: nuts/bolts/brackets/studs/clips and springs (other than suspension springs), glass, interior/exterior trim, paint, lamp units and wheels.
Any failure attributable to the effects of overheating is not regarded as a mechanical failure under the terms of this warranty.
