Community Transport for Derbyshire

Bakewell
Bakewell Community transport of Derbyshire has received their New Mellor Coachcraft Mercedes Sprinter. The vehicle replaces their Mercedes Van conversion bought six years ago from Mellor.
The group is part of the DIAL-A-BUS operation. DIAL-A-BUS is a door to door service for passengers who may have difficulty using other forms of public transport. Passengers book their journey in advance and are collected from and returned to their home. The DIAL-A-BUS service connects small groups of villages in the Derbyshire area including, Matlock, Bakewell and Buxon allowing easy and comfortable travel across the most rural parts of the Derbyshire Dales.
The new bus seats 14 passengers, has climate control, radio and reverse park aid. It is a welcome addition to the fleet of ten vehicles already in use.
