Long-standing Coleman Milne customer N E Downing have made the bold decision to not only upgrade their fleet with 6 new vehicles but to go with a complete colour change from classic black to Corris Grey to really make the business stand out. These brand new vehicles – 2 hearses and 4 limousines – have been selected from the Mercedes E-Class range.
As one of the longest-established independent funeral directors in the West Midlands, N.E. Downing have grown consistently to encompass the whole of the Black Country area since their humble beginnings in post-Great War Britain. The family business is now in its fourth Downing generation with sibling duo William and Lucy taking the reins along with the help of their father Stephen, now semi-retired.
When asked to comment, William said:
“We have bought Coleman Milne vehicles for as long as I can remember – Jaguars, Ford Granadas, removal vehicles and now Mercedes. My dad and granddad had a great relationship with Kevin Heath and that has carried over with Stacey.
“The feedback on the cars has all been very positive. People really like the colour. We didn’t want silver as we felt it was too bright but wanted something that would differentiate us from others. Families have also commented on how smart the interior is and are impressed with the modern look and feel. I think Mercedes design is sharp and combined with the LED running lights really give them a presence on the road.”
Their multiple locations spread across the West Midlands and more than 100 years’ experience in the sector means they can provide expert advice and guidance to give your loved one the send-off they deserve while still accounting for any personal preferences.
