We are delighted to announce the handover of our 100th vehicle order built on the Mercedes 214 platform, delivered to Clydebank Co-operative Funeral Directors, a distinguished funeral service provider established in 1881 and serving the West of Scotland for over 140 years.
The bespoke fleet comprises one E200 AMG Line petrol mild hybrid 214 Hearse and three matching limousines.
With more than eight decades of dedicated service to bereaved families, Clydebank Co-operative Funeral Directors have built a reputation for delivering personal, prestige funerals, supported by a team of qualified and compassionate staff available 24 hours a day. This commitment to quality and service made them the ideal recipient of this landmark 100th conversion.
The hearse has been built to exacting standards, featuring a panoramic glass roof that enhances visibility and elegance, a burled amber deck with integrated three-bearer system for secure and dignified transportation, and illuminated signage for enhanced presence. Practical driver amenities include Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation to support efficient daily operations across the customer’s service area.
The three accompanying limousines have been finished to precisely match the hearse, ensuring a cohesive and distinguished fleet appearance. Each limousine reflects the same attention to detail in terms of comfort, durability, and interior quality, providing families with a respectful and refined travel experience during difficult times.
The vehicles were formally handed over at the customer’s Hume Street premises in the presence of Funeral Manager Scott Milton. To commemorate this significant milestone, photography was also captured at the iconic Clydebank Titan Crane, a fitting backdrop given the customer’s deep roots in the local community.
Reaching 100 Mercedes 214-based conversions represents a significant achievement for Coleman Milne and underscores the trust that funeral professionals place in our vehicles and build quality. Every order is produced to individual customer specification, ensuring that each fleet is precisely tailored to the operational needs and service standards.
