The regional co-operative, Southern Co-op, is continuing the drive towards improving air quality and reducing emissions with a landmark UK first order of the new, ground-breaking Wisper from Coleman Milne.
The zero emission Wisper with its all-electric drive train is built for unequalled performance and safety. Based on the award-winning Tesla S, the premium specification Wisper makes no compromise on luxury and achieves an outstanding 220-mile single-charge range.
The state-of-the-art interior includes ample storage to the sides and rear and the expansive 17-inch touchscreen display is enabled for streaming radio, web browsing and navigation.
The Wisper will be paired with the sustainable Hybrid Rosedale limousine and the fleet will be finished in elegant Tenorite grey and the fleet will meet the ever-increasing demand for eco-funerals.
Matt Turner, Business & Strategic Development Manager at Southern Co-op, said:
“We have a firm commitment to sustainability and have been gradually increasing the number of electric and hybrid vehicles in our funeral fleet across our funeral branches in the south of England.
Thanks to this all-electric hearse, we’ll be able to give people a wider range of eco options when supporting them with their loved ones’ funerals – something we see as essential as we all work towards tackling climate change.”
